Listen to this if you’re feeling stressed
Stress is a normal part of life. Some stress is good, it enhances our senses and performance but too much can flood our nervous system with adreanline and cortisol and then the focus moves to our stress response rather than the matter at hand.
When we have a physiological response to stress it is trying to get our attention and tell us to do something about it. Telling us to take action. These messages are often telling us to relax, take time for ourselves and pay attention to what we need to do to release the stress. There are many ways to complete the stress response (have a look at breathing, yoga and other meditation resources here) - signalling to our mind and body that the stressor has passed and here is one way that might be useful.
This quick and easy technique allows us to notice the stress, notice how it impacts the body, allow the mind to focus on the internal feeling and then allow the mind to manipulate the feeling, process it and shift it and replace it with something more soothing.
Try this to shift some anxiety before a big meeting, to end your work day or even help you get off to sleep.
If stress or insomnia is something that you have been struggling with, impacting your life then please get in touch and see how Victoria or Sian could help you to shift this. Book a call here.
Please do not listen whilst driving. It’s a guided visualisation to help ease into into rest and digest mode and out of survival mode.
