3 minute mindful check in
Listen to this quick guided check in and use regularly to reduce stress and improve concentration.
Consistently taking a few moments to tune into our body and our surroundings can be so beneficial for our health - both mentally and physically. It can give us space to approach challenges from a different angle, it can help with posture so we’re not holding tension for long periods of time and it give us moments of calm to help to avoid overwhelm and burnout.
Some suggestions on how to make the most of this:
Use this in conjunction to a habit you already have - such as when you make a cuppa, after you’ve had a shower, as you turn your laptop on/off. Research shows it’s easier to form a habit when you add it to an existing one.
Set a reminder twice a day. If you want to incorporate positive habits make it easy to do so.
Use it when you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Depending on the situation, this technique can interrupt the stress response by helping you feel more resourceful. If you’re feeling very stressed then more of calming technique might be better suited - like havening - listen here.
